Labor Day
Sunday I drove to Deb's for a holiday picnic and to see Felicia, who was home from school for the weekend after just 1 week in college. If she makes the softball team she will not be home again until Xmas. Cannot believe she is that old.
The picnic was great: with lots of food (crabs, shrimp, salads, my shrimp salad, etc.)
The weather was just beautiful----80+ degrees, low humidity, no wind. Who could ask for more?
I spent the night and helped to clean up and spend some more time with the kids.
Monday I went to my dad's about 10:00. Bought us both lunch at GT's and at least I know he had 1 meal that day. Stripped his bed and washed sheets and blankets. Cleaned the patio and walkway and picked up sticks in the yard so that Larry could mow.
Headed back home about 3:30 and stopped at one of my favorite stores, "Dirt Cheap" and found a pair of shorts, a pair of capris, 2 paint brushes, wire brushes and a box cutter that I couldn't resist. All for $22. Can't beat the prices that's why I love the place.
Home by 5:30.
Today I went on an estimate to a CPA's office. Is going to be a LARGE job if they do it so I asked Susie to help. We will also have to hire someone else to help strip the old paper and paste for both of us.
Also took the request to the Homeowners' to remove the tree in the front yard.
Tomorrow they are going to put in the new windows and on Thursday will wrap the wood trim with siding. Halleujah!!!!
