Pleasant day

I decided last night that I would fill one of my free days with going to visit my dad. So this morning I hit the road at about 10:00 and headed north to take him to lunch and just spend some time with him again. Who knows how much longer he'll be with us as he just passed his 88th birthday in February.

Vicki met us in Waynesboro at Pizza Hut because he is familiar with that place, or so I thought, but later he told me he hadn't been there for 5 years. I've had him there several times in the past 2 years but this has slipped his mind.

After lunch we went to the Eagle's Club, and he had a good day with gambling. As usual, I did not. Left 30 of my hard-earned bucks behind.

Then we drove up through PenMar Park and went up the mountain further to Quirok (sic) where you can see over the valley for 50 miles when it's clear. Then we drove out Buena Vista Road to get a better view of the countryside.

Took him back to the house, put flea meds on "Trouble" and cleaned his ears, and then I got back on the road and was home by 6:00 feeling good about the day. I only got bossy with Dad 1 time about changing his pants before I'd go anywhere with him because he had wet himself. This seems to be something he can't control anymore and gets defensive about it. He sure spills a lot of liquids directly on his fly!!! (haha) Maybe it's time for Depends????????
