Bah Humbug!!!

This is the results of more snow and ice on Wednesday and Thursday.

Brrrrrrrr!!!

Another very cold ( 18 degrees ), dreary January day; but we have no snow to deal with yet. I almost wish I hadn't promised Rheba that I'd go chair shopping with her today, but I need to make an appearance in the real world.

After several hysterical days with a sick Trouble last week, I decided that I don't go to the doctor for me so why should I spend over $300 on tests for him. Thank heavens, he recovered the next day and I don't feel guilty anymore. He was throwing up yellow goop and had blood in his urine so I guess it was just a bladder infection. And he IS an "old Man" at 12 ( 84 in people years).

Small Pleasures

"American Idol" starts the season tomorrow night. Hope it holds my interest this year as it has for the previous 9 years.

Today was a totally boring day with typical January drear: a skim of ice on ground, gray skies and temps just barely above freezing. I didn't even feel like putting on makeup to go out anywhere. Tomorrow I must go to the grocery store, if for no other reason than to get out of here.

Sure hope work picks up soon.......

WOW!!!

It's been a long time since my last post...and lots has occurred since then, but nothing too significant.



Here is my new roommate. His name is "Trouble" and lives up to it every day. He is my dad's dog and he is unable to tend to him anymore. So here we are as companions. I get to walk him twice a day which is good for me but some days lately have been extremely cold. But I go, dressed like a puffalump.

this past summer, Mike decided it was a good time to get some more upgrades done to the house, so we started by having the ceiling replaced on the 1st floor. That turned into a lot more than either of expected. All the walls that were papered had to be stripped and redone. And endless painting. We also had the interior doors replaced, which also had to be painted.

I have to admit, I have been slacking off and have the kitchen to paper and paint and 2nd coat on lots of woodwork. I got paper that hides bad walls and you paint it after it's hung. Tomorrow is the day I am papering the kitchen and then Thursday I'll paint. Can't believe I've put it off for so long.

They are calling for snow tonight so I figure I won't be going anywhere tomorrow. That is if the storm doesn't miss us again.
