Rainy days........

and Mondays (and Tuesdays and Wednesdays, etc.) always get me down. The back yard is looking more and more like a jungle.

Actually, Sunday thru Tuesday, this week was great weather. Not too hot and sunny. Deb brought Cassidy to spend a few days with me and we all went to the Water Park at Bull Run Park and had a teriffic day. Deb left and Cassidy and I had dinner (peanut butter and crackers, grapes and Go gurt) and watched "Ice Age 2" and "The Littlest Mermaid". Monday we went to Reston Zoo, fed the animals, rode the haywagon thru the wild animals and visited the gift shop. Came home and she took a 3 hrs nap and then we went to McDonald's for dinner and to play in the playyard for 1 1/2 hours. Home again and watched "Snow Buddies". Tuesday she got up about 10:30 and we packed up to go home with her dragging her feet. I gave her the options to stay another day but she ultimately decided she missed her family.

I came back that night so I could get up bright and early and start to work in the yard. It's been raining ever since so I've done laundry, watched movies and lots of tv and now am going shopping for a while.

I think it's supposed to rain tomorrow also. Whooppee!!! I'm going to have to hire someone to finish the yard because I'll run out of days. Maybe that's not such a bad idea anyway. I'll check into it.

1 Project completed ! ! !

When in OC, I bought a chair at a junk shop and actually have recovered it. Bought it for $15.00 and now have about $85.00 in it with materials but I LOVE IT and I got it finished.

Still Alive

Yes, I'm still alive and have been relatively busy.

Worked a lot in April and May. Primed and papered a LARGE bedroom the 1st week of May (needed Susie for some of high spots) and vowed that I'd never take on a job that big and difficult again.

Went to Dentist for 6 mos. checkup on the 11th.

Teri visited on the 16th to help me get started selling on Ebay and just adjust some other things in my computer. That's what I requested for my birthday present this year. Had great luck with listed items the first 2 times but the 3rd bunch of listing resulted in no sales, so now I'm discouraged. Probably wait a while to do more listing. It can get expensive.

Met Dean at the Auto Train on the morning of the 18th and drove to Ocean City for the week. Back home on Friday and started work on Monday.

Worked 3 days 1st week of June.

Ashly is home from college and is working at Lifetime Gym in Ashburn. She decided to come spend the weekend of the 6th -8th with me because she and her mom are already sick of each other. That was tiring and stressful but wouldn't miss it for the world. It's great seeing these kids grow and she turned 20 yrs. old on the 2nd of June. Can hardly believe it has been that many years.

We have had so much rain this Spring that getting my yard in shape has been a real challenge and will be ongoing for a few more weeks. When the weather clears it gets so muggy that I can only stand it for about an hour then have to hit the showers and take a nap.

Today I have to get ready for Cassidy (Deb's 6 yr. old) to spend Sunday- Tuesday with Grandmom. So guess there will be no yardwork again. Oh well, it will wait as long as the Homeowners don't object.

"Please God, no rain for the 3 days". But they are calling for thunderstorms all 3 days. We'll have to rent a lot of movies.
