DOG ???

Please God, let me say "no".

I went on my estimate yesterday and the man-of-the-house tried desperately to get me to take one of their 3 dogs. It is a yorkie/westie mix, 2 years old and is so adorable. He's one of those dogs that you could pick up and carry along almost anywhere. He jumped on my lap and kissed me the whole time we were discussing the wallpaper.

Tonight I have to call the wife to set up a day next week to hang the paper and I still don't know what I'll say if she asks if I want him. My freedom has been so great, not having to rush home to let a dog out and finding someone to dogsit when I travel, that I'm not positive I want to get back into this. But, he sure is so CUTE!!! And he doesn't shed and he's hypoallergenic.

New Year

New Years' Eve found me packing and in bed by 10. Up early and packed truck to head to Charlotte, NC. Mike was already there from Christmas so I drove alone. On the road by 10 AM and arrived there at 5 PM. Smooth trip.

I thoroughly enjoyed seeing Michael and Mikie's house and how they have made it a home.

Friday, Gwen and the kids arrived early and Mario came later in the day. Things really got hopping then, as only a 3 year old and an 18 month old and another dog can cause utter chaos. But fun chaos!!!

Saturday was the Barmitzvah and a good time was had by all.

Sunday, Mike and I packed up and came home to give M & M a chance to relax before work on Monday. The trip took me from 11 till 7. I stopped 5 times for gas, to pee or just to stretch. Still can't figure out how it took so long. One of life's little puzzlements.

It was a wonderful way to spend the weekend and get to visit everyone again. I miss seeing them but it's my fault for not going more often. Will have to change that this year.
