Continuing........

Had several options to pick from for Thanksgiving but I chose to go to St. Simon's Island, GA. Flew in to JAX on Thanksgiving Day arriving 2 hours late due to the usual holiday backup. Mike picked me up and we drove to the island to spend the holiday with Gwen, Mario and the kids.

Friday we shopped, cooked the turkey and did the usual things you do when there is a 2 year old and a 4 month old in the house. And 2 dogs and 4 adults in a 2 bedroom TH for 6 days. We actually had a hectic but wonderful time.

It was warm enough 1 day for us to go to the beach and feed the seagulls. It was an eerie-looking day because of the fog hanging low but I rolled up my pants legs to wade in the very cold water anyway. We packed the car on Wed. morning and drove to Columbia, SC and spent the night at Gwen and Mario's.

Got up Thursday and repacked the car to drive to Charlotte, NC. Got there about the time Michael and Mikie were home from work and we went to dinner with them. We brought their Golden, Bella, back to them. She had spent the holiday with us at St. Simon's. I got to play tennis and bowling on their Wii and it is so much fun. We spent the night there and repacked to head to Greensboro, NC to visit Ashly at Gboro College. Saw her dorm room, took her to lunch and shopping for pillows, clothes and shoes and then back on the road to come home. LOVE THAT GIRL!!!

While shopping one of the many times at Target in Brunswick, GA. Mike decided to buy me a GPS that I have been wanting for a long time. He surprises me sometimes. I LOVE IT!!!

Made it home by 9 PM on Friday and I slept a lot Sat. Had to go to grocery store on Sunday and watch the Redskins lose again.

I'm tired just going back over all this but will add details later.

THE END

Catching Up...

Went to Pap's on Wednesday, Sept. 19th to change sheets and visit and then to Deb's for the night. Watched the Day Care kids on Thursday so Deb could go to Doctor appt. with Felicia.

Sept. 23rd I packed up and went to Dean's new house in Ocean Pines and spent the week painting and papering until I returned home on the 30th. Her house is really nice and we had a good time visiting. Cindy, her oldest daughter, came for a few days and it was good seeing her again.

My hair has been dry, brittle and falling out along with an itchy, burning scalp so I found a Doctor in the phone book that looked like the kind I could tolerate and made an appt. for Oct. 10 to check it out. Had previously gone to Immediate Care and got some meds for my head and didn't trust that diagnosis of Eczema so I decided to try again.

Dr. Dappen, the one I like so far, sent me for blood tests to check out my stats on thyroid, iron levels and heaven knows what else. Results came back that I am perfectly healthy, so we are right back to eczema and he prescribed the same thing plus gave me tranquillizers.( Love those things!!! ) Did not fill the other prescription since I already had from 1st doc. He also said it could be allergies to some Hair Care products, so I have started collecting a myriad of other brands and now have my own Private Collection. Anybody need anything? I'm sure I have it.

Saturday, Oct. 20 I drove up to Middletown, Md. to watch Felicia play in a Field Hockey game but she had missed practice the day before so she didn't play. The field was at a high school on top of a hill and on the way up the drive, I thought I smelled leaves burning. Thought that was odd but it was that time of the year. Parked, froze my butt off watching the game and got in my truck to come home. Started it and "black, stinky smoke" started rolling out of my heater vents. Really smelled like leaves burning now...........Deb panicked and called the Fire Department, embarrassing my g-kids and here they come flying up the drive, sirens blaring, ready to stop a major fire-- along with a Sheriff's car and ambulance. After some intense investigation, they decided that my fan motor had collected leaves, which were smoldering, and as long as I didn't use my fan, I could probably make it home. It worked!!!

Monday AM I had the leaves cleaned out and it has been okay ever since.

Also went to see an attorney on Monday about starting bankruptcy proceedings. Not proud of this but it seems necessary for now. Will report all of this at a later date.

Thursday, Oct. 25, I flew to San Diego for my nephew's wedding and returned home Monday the 29th. Had a wonderful time getting acquainted with the new bride and catching up with my brother's family again. Couldn't have been more enjoyable.

Friday, Nov. 9, I went to Deb's to stay with Kaleigh and the animals because Greg and Cassidy were at Disney World and Deb took Felicia to visit West Chester College. Went to the Horse Show on Sunday and came home.

Teri came to spend the day with me on Sunday, Nov. 18 and we got some of her shopping done and she showed me how to set up an Ebay acct. to start selling some of my junk. Whoops!!!!!!!! I mean treasures.
