Almost went to Jeffery's today and was dreading it. He is not doing good at all; no money , no job, no food, no nothing. I have started feeling that I am just putting bandaids on the situation and if I don't run to his rescue maybe, just maybe, he'll figure out what to do. It's hard though knowing that he hasn't eaten in so long but maybe that's what it will take. He slept in today and didn't answer when I called earlier, so I decided to relax and hope that someone else had "saved" him this time. No such luck. He called to say he slept late.

By that time, I had gone to the grocery store for spiced shrimp to eat during the game and return "You, Me and Dupree". That was an okay movie, about a "3". Rented "Delta Farce" to watch tonight. I need something to make me laugh.

Tomorrow I have an estimate in Clifton to strip a kitchen and repaper. And I need to call another decorator about a job that should be scheduled for this week but isn't yet. Need to generate some money.......

Another lonely weekend

I know, I know.........it's my fault that nothing is planned for the weekend. No "BUT" is necessary, it has just become easier not to make plans and then decide that I wished I hadn't.

Took my "walk in the woods" already and am headed to the showers. Going to be another 90 degree day in September.

I worked yesterday which was my only job this week. Things need to pick up soon or don't know what I'll do. I will be going to Ocean City in a week or two to paint and paper Dean's house, which she is settling on today. That should prove interesting!!! I'm going to miss having her so close but I'll have an excuse to go to the beach again.

School has started........

And how can I tell?????

The kid next door just knocked on the door selling things from a catalog to benefit the school. So now I have to pick through the over-priced crap and find something that doesn't cost quite so much that I can actually use. He says I can even buy more than 5 things even though there are not enough lines to fill in numbers. Oh goody!!! I was worried about that one.

Vehicle, movies, etc.

Thanks to Susie once again for helping me with dropping my vehicle at The Car Connection on Monday evening and back for picking it up on Tuesday night. It needed all the things I listed as possibilities. Don't they always????? Once again, Kevin (manager) says that I really need to be looking to upgrade my vehicle. And, as always, I say "are you running out of bandaids?"

Well,, as my luck goes, 1st thing I noticed was that the fan was back to working on HIGH and OFF only. I really expected a new fan to blow at all speeds but maybe I bought the economy model. haha!! Anyway, today I called and took it back in for them to evaluate. Turns out I did pay for a full functioning fan but the mechanic forgot about a ballast resistor(?) that should have been installed also. Because I had to go back, they did not charge me for the part or labor. Thank God for small favors!!!

I rented 2 movies to pass the time:
1.You, Me and Dupree
2.Wild Hogs

"Wild Hogs" is really, really funny and I highly recommend it. Haven't finished the other yet but so far it is not as funny.

Labor Day Weekend ???

Well, I opted to observe the holiday by doing NO labor and to just stay closeted in my basement. Bad choice!!!! I am so frigging bored, I could spit. I think it is time to hit Blockbusters for some marathon movies.

Tomorrow night I am dropping my vehicle at the garage for oil change, inspection, fan motor, brakes?, etc. That only means my weekend will be extended until Tuesday evening. Oh joy!!!
